Description
Darwinia is a fast paced 3d real time strategy game which uses ideas from early arcade games such as Centipede and PC games such as Cannon Fodder to create unique game play in a retro-futuristic styled world.
Use of Procedural Content Generation Methods
Darwinia's levels were built using procedural generation of height maps and then hand edited. This minimised the cost of creating the maps - important for an independent studio like Introversion.
