Disgaea is a turn based strategy role playing game, similar to the Final Fantasy Tactics series of games.
Use of Procedural Content Generation Methods
Disgaea features an "Item World" where the player may enter any item and battle through hundreds of procedurally generated levels to improve the statistics of that item. The levels feature procedurally generated terrain and enemy placement. Levels often have a flavor to them: the better the item, the more difficult the generated levels are. Items also feature a "boss" every tenth level where the level is hand-designed but monster placement is still procedural.
