Julian Togelius is a researcher working at IDSIA, the Swiss AI Institute. His research involves applying various computational intelligence techniques, such as evolutionary algorithms, neural networks and swarm intelligence, to games. The dual goals of this is to further the state of learning AI, and to make development of new types of games possible.
Within procedural content generation, he has worked on using evolutionary computation to search spaces of procedurally represented content.
